Panta Rhei presents the Panta Jet, a new high-capacity pump. The German company is explicitly committed to energy efficiency. Reefkeepingtoday got a first look at the prototype at NordRiff.
At the NordRiff trade show in Bremerhaven, Panta Rhei is introducing the Panta Jet, a pump that will soon be available on the market. The company expects the pump to be available in April 2027.
The Panta Jet is specifically designed as a high-capacity pump that is also energy-efficient. It will be available in six sizes, capable of handling volumes ranging from 1,000 to as much as 100,000 liters per hour. The Panta Jet can pump water to heights of four meters in their standard configuration, though custom-built pumps are also available. For example, customers can use replacement parts to adjust the flow rate and head height to their specifications.
“The main advantage of the pump is the capability to measure the volume running through the pump,” says Moritz Kaehlig, Technical Assistant to the Executive Board. “The controller will keep the chosen volume steady even when organisms grow inside the tubing and partly block it. It will inform you about the quality of your in and out tubing, so you won`t waste any energy anymore. Crucially, you will always know, not guess, the exact volume that is cycling through your tank.”

The controller is currently still under development. Panta Rhei expects the smallest model of the Panta Jet to cost around 1,000 EUR, although that price is not yet set in stone, according to Moritz Kaehlig.
