The Natura iCon MAX is the newest addition to the Orphek family. The fixture is based on the Natura iCon, but is twice as large. The new fixture was launched last week and is now available.
With 156 LEDs that consume up to 6 watts each, and a total power limit of 290 watts, the iCon MAX fixture has twice the power of the iCon. It contains no fewer than 9 different chips, offering thirteen colors. The light distribution is said to be uniform, and the spectrum ranges from 390 to 740 nm.
The fixture offers flexible control via the Orphek iCon app (compatible with iOS and Android), with support for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Aquarists have access to six independent channels and extremely precise dimming resolution. The built-in geolocation feature automatically synchronizes the lighting with local sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset times. In addition, an advanced moonlight control system ensures a biologically accurate night cycle.
The system maintains an excellent PAR-per-watt ratio, ensuring high energy efficiency. The Natura iCon MAX operates quietly, is built to last with high-quality components, and functions according to a simple plug-and-play principle within the broader Orphek iCon ecosystem.
Orphek is offering the fixture at an introductory price of 1,098 USD (946 EUR). The suggested retail price is 1,300 USD (1,119 EUR).
